Option 1: Clean installation of Linux Openfiler
 

Install Linux Openfiler on a clean (unpartitioned) HDD and create the following partitions MANUALLY when prompted:

/boot = 100 – 150 MB (Primary Active) linux ext3 filesystem.
/        = 3 – 4 GB (Primary) linux ext3 filesystem.
Swap = 1 GB (Primary) linux swap filesystem.

Leave the rest as unpartitioned spare space.

Note:

I have assumed that you can manage to select the type of mouse, keyboard and Time Zone.

Accept the default DHCP configuration for the networking configuration.
